FAQ
01. What is the booking process like?
I try my best to keep things simple and casual! You can initially reach out to me via email, and if you prefer texts/phone calls we can continue the booking that way. If you already have everything planned out in your head, great! Give me all the deets. If you are unsure of the location you want to shoot at, I am more than happy to give you ideas!
I do require a 20% non-refundable fee at the time of booking. This will go towards the total cost.
02. Do you travel?
Currently, I will travel up to 50 miles from my location. An additional fuel charge will be added for any travel over 25 miles. I would love to travel anywhere in the US for your elopement! Additional travel fees will apply.
03. How many photos do we get?
A standard session will last about an hour, sometimes a little longer if you're really vibing. This timeframe will give me a minimum of 30 photos to deliver, but I do not set a maximum and often times send more than 30. Photos will be delivered in an online gallery.
04. When will we get our photos?
I will edit your photos and deliver an online gallery within two weeks. This may vary slightly if we are around a holiday, so if you require delivery before a specific date, please communicate that with me ahead of time.
05. What happens if either of us has to cancel?
I completely understand that life happens, and I will do my best to be accommodating. In the event that you're unable to make it to your scheduled session, I just ask that you inform me as soon as possible. I am more than happy to reschedule for no additional fee. There is a 20% retainer fee due at the time of booking, and this fee will be non-refundable for no-shows or cancellations with no intent of rescheduling.
As your photographer, I value your time as much as my own, if not more. If a true emergency comes up and I'm unable to make the scheduled shoot, I will offer to reschedule or assist with finding a different photographer. In the event that you don't want to reschedule, I will issue you a full refund.
06. Do you use photoshop?
I primarily use Lightroom to color-grade your photos. I occasionally use Photoshop to edit out distractions in the background or add subtle effects.
Full transparency, while I may use Photoshop to edit out mild blemishes that are not normally there (to the best of my ability), I will never alter any body parts or add filters to skin. As cheesy as this sounds, I truly believe everyone is beautiful the way they are and it is my goal to capture you in your most authentic way.
07. Do you offer photos other than couples & pets?
Short answer, maybe! These are the subjects I am most comfortable with, however, if you are looking for something else like branding or real estate, I am more than happy to chat and see if we would be a good fit.
Two things I'm unfortunately unable to help with are newborn and family photos with multiple children. Newborn photos require special knowledge and skills to safely pose your child, things of which I do not have currently. Working with large families are a blast, and I do love children! It does require a special person to keep them engaged, while simultaneously operating the camera to get the perfect shots. I will be honest that I am not a good fit if this is the service you are looking for.
08. I have a question about something that I do not see here.
If I missed something, please do not hesitate to reach out and I am more than happy to chat! There are no dumb questions (those are my own words.. I've been told I ask a lot of dumb questions. Either way, no judgment here.)
